A collection of 11 film scripts and production materials from the career of Hollywood assistant director Ad Schaumer (active 1928-1966). One of the documents, dated December 7, 1935, is titled "Editorial Notes on Script 'Under Two Flags' Second Temporary Script - Dictated by Darryl Zanuck" that includes approximately 50 pages of notes with Zanuck's detailed improvements to the script. The December 28, 1935, revised shooting final script, part one, for Under Two Flags (20th Century, 1936) is also included. The other scripts and documents include a synopsis of The Little Queen by Claire Evans Donahue about Mary Queen of Scots, dated May 29, 1936; a rough sequence outline of The Golden West (Fox, 1932); a Captain January (20th Century, 1936) dated October 15, 1935. The film starred Shirley Temple; a Charlie Chan At The Olympics script dated January 13, 1937; an Ali Baba Goes To Town (20th Century, 1937) script dated June 25, 1937; a Kentucky (20h Century, 1938) script dated September 1, 1938; two copies of the revised final script for Second Fiddle (20th Century, 1939) dated March 14, 1939; and a shooting breakdown for the film Hollywood Cavalcade (20th Century, 1939).
