An original letter written by the iconic drag queen performer and John Waters muse Divine (Harris Glenn Milstead). Divine starred in numerous John Waters films, including the cult classic Pink Flamingos (Dreamland, 1972) and Hairspray (New Line, 1988). The letter is handwritten in black ink to author and veteran publicist Walter Newkirk. In the letter, Divine thanks Newkirk for an interview he gave at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, N.J., and discusses the New York opening of the film Female Trouble (Dreamland, 1974).
