A scorecard from the 1949 Movie Star World Series where Marilyn Monroe acted as a bat girl at Wrigley Field. To one side the card reads “Triple Header/ Official Score Card/ Movie Stars/ Prep All-Stars/ Old Timers/ July 9, 1949/ Wrigley Field/ Sponsored by/ Chicago Herald-American.” The scorecard lists the film stars, “Old Timers” baseball players and the prep school players who participated. Accompanied by a framed display with a “Working Press” ticket to the event and an article that appeared in the Boston Evening American with a photograph of Monroe at the event.
