$6,250
A piece of Elvis Presley's personal stationary printed at top "From the home of…Elvis Presley" with a note in blue ink handwritten by Elvis reading in full, "I'd like to say that I learned very early in life that without a song the day would never end, without a song a man ain't got a friend, without a song the road would never bend, without a song - So I'll keep singing my song". The note references a portion of an acceptance speech Elvis gave for the 1970 Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Nation Award. The speech, given at a ceremony on January 16, 1971, quoted lyrics from "Without A Song". The note is accompanied by a typed letter dated July 23, 1991 signed by Charlie Hodge referencing three pages, although only one sheet is being sold in this lot. 5 1/4 by 5 inches Categories: Elvis Presley
