H. J. Hyams black painted metal gas meter of hexagonal form with three mounted brass fixtures. Accompanied with patent label dating the piece to September 13, 1870 and a document with figure drawings on the construction of the meter with patent number 107380. Height 9.5", width 9.5", depth 11".
