Chinese, 20th century, possibly earlier. Rose medallion decorated oval platter and lidded vegetable dish. Serving platter with alternating triangular scenes of courtly figures and flowering prunus branches with birds and butterflies, unmarked. Lidded vegetable dish with gilt accented finial on lid with floral clusters, birds , butterflies and fruit, similar motif on exterior and interior, unmarked. Oval platter measures 13.1" x 16.25". Vegetable dish height 5.5", width 9.2", depth 8".
