Chinese, 20th century, possibly earlier. Mustard yellow glazed porcelain figure of a resting elephant (original likely with candleholder at top of pack on back). Elephant with black accents on face, peony decoration on saddle, and simplified flowers on body. Marked on bottom in black under glaze. Hole at top to access interior of animal or for resting item within. Height 2.75", width 5", depth 2.5".
