Robert Garrard, London, circa 1811. Pair of George III period sterling silver covered round vegetable dishes with beaded, shell, leaf and gadrooned motif. Cover and serving section with engraved heraldic lion's head. Oval leaf accented handle on top of lid. Marked on side with maker's marks and hallmarks. Height 7.2", diameter 10.2". Total weight approximately 104 troy ounces. Provenance: Sotheby's, New York: English & Continental Silver, October 16,1996 as Lot 221 whereby acquired by Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
