Horse portrait depicting Peter, an officer's charger in the 18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary's Own), wearing standard uniform of red and white throat plumes, leopard skin saddle blanket, and heraldic crowned marks on gilt accented fabric. Horse standing next to a shaggy haired dog seated on a dirt road in front of a brick building. Verso with Reeves & Sons stamp on canvas and remnant of paper label from E. Parker, Artist Repository, Montpelier, Cheltenham. Framed 20.4" x 24.4". Unframed 14.1" x 18.125".
