The Long chair of 1936 was an adaptation of Breuer's design for an aluminum chaise from 1932. Alvar Aalto was influenced by Breuer's designs in metal. Aalto's work in bentwood in turn influenced Breuer. This Breuer design dates from the late 30s to early 40s and retains the original label.
