English,19th century. Large and streamlined newspaper knife or paper knife of long rectangular form with rounded edges to accurately cut unbound sheets of paper for reading. Engraved and paint accented monogrammed letter on exterior. Paper knife contained within a Mappin & Webb fitted case. Length of knife 17.25", width approximately 1.75".
