Late 18th/Early 19th century. Group of three armorial American eagle motif porcelain plates comprising of two matching with reticulated border within gilt accented scalloped edge, center with thirteen silver stars in star formation above winged brown eagle with red and white striped flag shield on body . Eagle with red ribbons flanking head and holding leaved branch and green arrows or quivers in talons; other plate with serpentine gilt ribbon on border with flowers and green leaves, likely tobacco. Center with brown eagle with ribbons that read "E PLURBIS UNUM" (roughly translated to One Out of Many), eagle with flag shield, faint stars, arrows and leaves in talons. Reticulated plates with blue beehive or Bindenschild on bottom, likely for Imperial or Royal porcelain manufacturer, also with "2231" in gilt. Other plate unmarked, diameter 10.125". Diameter of reticulated plates 10".
