This desk, pictured prominently in the Haywood-Wakefield catalog if 1934, was retailed through Bloomingdale's New York.
As a response to the "fashionable European Art Deco", Haywood-Wakefield specified the use of exotic veneers. Ultimately, the line proved unsuccessful, and pieces from this early line of Wright furniture are exceedingly rare.
