This example of the Two Legs & A Table dates from the first year of production.
It was exhibited that same year and subsequently acquired from the exhibition by the current owner. Differing from the current production examples, this early version has hand-made details that follow the "continuity between the workbench and the drawing board." ( Before and After the Drawings , Ottogono, September 1991, ppg. 48-49).
