La Table Vrilee is a rare design and one of the only furniture designs executed by Mouille.
The table was created by cutting the twelve supporting arms and two legs into a flat piece of steel, which was then placed in a vice. A lever was attached to the center and four men were required to twist the steel, creating the final radiating shape. Mouille has stated that this is “one of the most extraordinary things I’ve ever made” (as quoted in Serge Mouille: un Classique Francais , Pralus, pg. 234). The table was made in a very small edition and fewer than ten examples are known. literature: Serge Mouille, un Classique Francais , Pralus, pg. 234, 235 Jean Prouve/Serge Mouille, Delorenzo and Counord, ppg. 148, 149
