Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989), "Hell Canto 9", color lithograph print from the artist's work illustrating Dante's "Divine Comedy" depicting a white figure with arched back and bent leg with shadowy figures in background and yellow and orange flames, signed lower right margin in red colored pencil and marked E. A. in pencil. According to Albert Fields, Dali signed 150 sets of prints in color pencil, red for hell images in New York City for F.A.R. Gallery for several days. This lot is likely from that signing and issue. Framed 20.3" x 18.4". Sheet size approximately 13" x 10.25".
