Hippolyte Camille Delpy (French, 1842-1910), "Bord de la Seine"-1901, oil on cradled wood panel, signed and dated lower right "H. C. Delpy", with label to verso "1262 bis". Serene, contemplative landscape painting with loose, quietly powerful brushwork and tonal qualities characteristic of Barbizon style, the painting depicting the Seine river at dusk with a fisherman tethering his boat to shore and another fisherman in his boat rowing upstream.
