The following two carpets are variants on a design by esteemed textile artist and interior designer Marion Dorn.
Dorn utilized the repeating square pattern in her famous all-white room, created in 1931 for Sylvie Maugham, another well-known designer of the time. Dorn worked for several companies, including Edward Fields from 1951-1962. Printed manufacturer's mark to reverse: [Edward Fields] with copyright number and date: [17859 © 10/3/03].
