Niels Vodder Denmark, 1949 rosewood, leather 41 w x 36 d x 37 h in (104 x 91 x 94 cm)
Exhibited at the Cabinetmaker's Guild in Copenhagen in 1949, the Chieftain chair was named when King Frederik IX visited the exhibition and seated himself in the display model.
This rosewood edition of the chair was produced in a limited edition of seventy-eight and was commissioned for the Danish consulates.
