Japanese, first half of 20th century, possibly earlier. Two matching porcelain vases with hand painted polychromed figural decoration of male warriors, some on horseback on crackled cream ground. Vases with applied ceramic foo dog handles and animal form banding below neck, stylized wave bands on bottom. Each vase marked on bottom. Height 9.4 inches. Diameter of top 3.125 inches.
