Chinese, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Pair of porcelain lidded urns with finely hand painted rose medallion decoration later converted into electrified lamps. Exterior of six sided lidded urns with figural court scenes in gilt accented medallions surronded by floral, fruit and butterflies. Figure in gold robe as finial on top of lid. Each urn with applied figural handles of ladies seated with fans on lotus blossoms. Urns raised on wooden bases. Lamps with three electrified light sockets at top. Height (to top of central glass shade) 35.6". Provenance: From the Collection of Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
