American, 19th century. Federal style mahogany and inlaid corner cabinet with cornice top above two hinged and glazed doors that open to shelved storage within (lined with blue brocade fabric). Lower section with two oval medallions with eagle motif on sides of faux drawer fronts flanking center pull out drawer over two hinged doors with additional string inlay work that open to shelved storage within. Provenance: John Gibson, Charleston, South Carolina whereby acquired by Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia. Height 85.9", width 42.5", depth 20.5".
