Pomegranate form suspends two domestic charms and sandal; Guitar form suspends three figural or bridal charms; Fish form suspends three fish or bridal charms. Early 20th c. Unmarked. Largest: 3 1/4" x 1 1/4". 83.4 gs. Note: "Guardapelos," which literally translates to "hair keeper," were given to a young lady by her lover in his absence both as a means to store a lock of his hair and as a symbol of their future together. They often dangle charms of the things that the man would provide his future wife for their life and home together, if not small charms of the bride herself.
