Herman Miller "Aeron" office chair; black; swivel and rolling with adjustable arms; measures approximately 41-1/2" tall to top of back, 18-1/2" tall to top of seat, 27-1/2" wide arm to arm, and 19-1/2" deep; in Good overall condition with a split to back pad piece (see picture). The Aeron chair is an office chair designed in 1994 by Don Chadwick and Bill Stumpf and is featured in the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection. Aeron chairs are produced by Herman Miller, and were popular with web startups during the late 1990s when they were associated with the dot-com bubble. A 2006 article in New York magazine called the Aeron "the Dot-Com Throne", writing that the chairs "became shorthand for the countless companies that didn't have a clue how to make money on the Internet, but, man, did they have the know-how to set up a cool office". The Aeron chair is made out of recycled materials, and 94 percent of the chair itself is recyclable.
