Clarence La Verne Butler (American, fl. circa 1897-1898), oil on canvas painting. Signed "C. Le V. Butler" lower right and with artist's name plaque on frame. Depicting a woman in a white Grecian dress with gold Greek key decoration and a rope belt leaning against a large wooden harp with gilt decoration. A tiger pelt lies at her feet on the floor. An arrangment of pink roses sits in a large bronze vase a top round table at the left of the painting. Interior of room decorated with paneled windows and Oriental rugs. Framed 46.5 inches x 36.25 inches.
