LOW COUNTRIES SILVER GILT GOBLET, 18TH C.; Rotterdam, 1760, remarked in bowl with control mark for Vlissingen, 1795. Tall and flared fluted bowl, gadroon collar above wasted column set with applied acanthus leaves, stepped fluted foot with pie crust edge. Other indistinct marks. 11.36 OT, 20.1 cm high (7 7/8"). Note: A similar pair, likely from the same service, was sold in July 2004, Bonhams, New Bond Street, for £8,365.
