Boris Ivanovich Pastoukhoff (1894-1947) oil on canvas "St. Moritz" still life with vibrant coloration of a floral arrangement in vase, framed and single-matted in a heavily carved gilt frame; signed to lower left "Pastoukhoff" and titled and dated "1954 - St. Moritz" to lower right; measures approximately 35" x 30-1/2" with frame and has a sight image of approximately 25-1/2" x 20-1/2".Boris Pastoukhoff, born 1894, also known as Boris Pastukov, and was known for portrait, still life, and floral paintings. Studied with A.A. Murashko, Kiev (i.e. at the Kiev Art College). Active in Kiev, Ukraine until c. 1920; in the Kingdom of Serbs, Khorvats, and Slovenes (from 1929, Yugoslavia) 1920s; in Paris from 1930s. Exhibited with Koltso, Kiev 1914. Died no earlier than 1947.
