American, first quarter of 20th century. Thomas A. Edison, Inc. Amberola Phonograph contained in an oak wood case with hinged lid that opens to reveal cylindrical musical playing mechanism within. Interior with gilt "Edison" and metal plaque that notes phonograph is Model 30 as well as serial number. Phonograph (when closed) measures 12.75", width (to end of crank handle) 15", depth 15.75". Phonograph accompanied with paper booklet from Thomas A. Edison, Inc. in Orange, New Jersey that serves as a guide for set up and use.
