PAUL EVANS Wall-hanging welded steel Eye Cabinet, patinated and painted with colored pigments. Signed Paul Evans 66 D. 24" x 48" x 17". (From the collection of Dorsey Reading. Because this piece was a rare experiment with figural representation, Evans worked closely with Reading on its production, drawing out shapes in chalk which Reading would translate in metal. One of two ever made, this piece was sold before it ever reached the showroom.)
