ARTS & CRAFTS TEXTILES Four burgundy velvet curtains with floral tapestry applique lined in chartreuse wool, and one portiere lined in same burgundy velvet. Together with three curtains of woven chartreuse wool with braided tape (as-is condition). (Lots 1203-1207 are from the Virgil Highland residence in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The 1904 stone mansion was renovated in the 1930s, when its curtains and portières were carefully stored in the attic. Mr. Highland founded The Empire Bank (now absorbed into BB&T) and the Clarksburg Publishing Co.) Some wear, tears, and discoloration.
