British, early 20th century. Three brown leather bound ledgers from Rowton Houses Limited stacked on top of one another and raised on a wooden stand as decoration. Ledgers adhered to one another including with screws and therefore, unable to view as historical documents. Wooden stand of rectangular form and raised on four square legs with bracket supports in upper corners. Overall height 19.5 inches, width 16.25 inches, depth 11.5 inches. Rowton Houses Limited was a company based out of London, England began by Lord Rowton as a group of highly regarded hostels. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B.
