Pillar of the Magi. Los Angeles, John Gaughan & Associates, ca. 1998. A pack of cards is placed in the base of a wooden platform from which extends a brass pole, at the top of which is a brass eagle. The cards then spring up in a shower, and one is caught in the beak of the bird – the spectator’s selection. Finely veneered wooden base and brass hardware. Base 8 ½ x 12 x 6”. 27 ½” high. Minor wear to case; good overall. One of four manufactured.
