Group of Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Century Gambling Lithographs and Prints. Various publishers and printers, ca. 1880s – 1910s. Including “The Draw on The Bowery”, a centerfold illustration from Truth Magazine Poker Series No. 1; “Le Comptoir du Pere Boisanseau” (1894), French gambling scene with ethnic stereotypes; “A Miss Deal” (ca. 1880s), a shooting in a wild west gambling tavern; “The Card Players” (ca. 1880s), engraved by Charles Burt; together with various facsimiles of old prints, including “The Heathen Chinee”, “Seconde Chambre des Appartemens” and “Troisieme Appartement”, the latter two 1949 facsimiles of seventeenth century French gambling engravings; “A Saint” (1904), a lithograph by Bernhardt Wall; a full color lithographic centerfold from 1884 Puck magazine entitled “The Magnetic Bunco Steerer and his Confederate”. Sizes vary. Generally good to very good condition.
