Rice, Bran, and Orange Trick. American, ca. 1890 [?]. A quantity of rice, a quantity of bran, and an orange transpose between a handsome nickel plated vase and three nickel plated cones. One cone gimmicked. Lid of vase includes trap not usually encountered in similar apparatus. The largest 13 ¼” high. Minor stress crack to lid of vase, else very good. Rare. According to paperwork accompanying the set, the Rice Vase offered here was owned and used by Harry Kellar, though no further documentation proving the assertion is available.
