Poker Players Tintype. Circa 1870s. Posed studio tintype photo of men playing poker, with one showing what appears to be a full house. Standing man is a croupier. Other than photographic studios, where they were widely used through the 1860s, tintypes were thereafter often offered by photographers working in booths at carnivals and fairs as they could readily be presented to the customers after taking, as they did not require drying. Corners slightly trimmed, possibly from prior framing. Excellent definition. Very good.*
