The Linx. Burling Hull. NV N# (Jan. 1936). Complete File. Alfredson/Daily 3355. Scarce. Together with: three ca. 1950s Typed Letters Signed by Burling Hull under his stage name, Volta, and one typed notecard to Jay Marshall, all discussing The Linx, which lampoons Theo Annemann and his periodical The Jinx. In the letters Hull denies any involvement in The Linx, but doesn’t avoid expressing scorn both toward Annemann and his periodical, writing, “If I had anything to do with The Linx I would have carried it out in exact replica like Bob Weil did – but with the rear end of a donkey in black silhouette like that of the cat on the Jinx – long donkey ears somewhat matching the cat’s – and the word “STINX.”
