Ruth Gross worked as a artist/illustrator for the U.S. Army/ Air force Combat Film Services World War II throughout the 1940s. She also worked as an animation tracer, inker, and production manager for various studios, advertising, and theatrical media later in her career through the 1950s. During her life, she created about 130 paintings, participated in approximately 198 art shows and exhibitions, and won 33 awards for her work.
