American, 20th century (circa 1930). Toy dirigible composed of iron alloy and aluminum with painted graphics with text on sides that reads "GRAF ZEPPELIN" and star motif on back near tail. Zeppelin raised on three wheels (one at front center and two at rear). Height 7", width 25”, depth 6". Possible manufacture attributed to J.C. Penney Co., Inc., Plano, Texas. Similar Graf Zeppelin of same make in the collection at Minneapolis Institute of Arts; The Modernism Collection.
