Adams, Graham. [Graham Adams Card Work.] [London], ca. 1956. A 141-page clothbound text of bound typescripts outlining the workings of many of Graham Adams' own card effects. 4to. Ex-libris Roland Winder, and bearing his bookplate. Signed and inscribed warmly to Roland Winder by Adams, reading, in part, "Many years ago you asked me could I get a complete file of the stuff written for Wilf Hutchinson. You had that. This was done, at the time four copies were made. Jack had one. The Doc another, Harry another. This is the fourth." Extremities of cloth lightly faded, otherwise good condition. Rare.In his day, Graham Adams was known as one of the foremost exponents of sleight-of-hand with cards in England, if not the world. He was a devout student of Erdnase's Expert at the Card Table. Presumably the tricks in this book were originally written for Wilford Hutchinson, publisher of The Conjurer's Chronicle. Adams' name is stamped on the spine in gilt lettering.
