Coin Vanishing Casket. After Martinka & Co., ca. 1890. Small casket covered in heliotrope plush and trimmed with brass fittings that effects the vanish of four coins placed inside. 2 ¼ x 3 x 3". Fabric hinge of trap door broken, some wear to fabric especially over hidden release mechanism, and interior spring mechanism worn but workable. A lovely example of this scarce prop.
