Including contracts, route lists, correspondence, and one large poster related to the magician (in poor condition), from various Lyceum and Chautauqua bureaus. Correspondence is both of a personal and professional nature. 1920s – 30s. Over 50 items. Condition generally fair; edges of most documents folded and tattered. Still, a unique and revealing set of documents. SHOULD BE SEEN.Argus was the stage name of Arthur Herrmann, son-in-law of Ed Reno, one of the best-known and loved Chautauqua and Lyceum magicians. Some of the correspondence in this archive relates directly to Reno and his show.
