Manipulator. New Haven Connecticut, Petrie and Lewis, ca. 1930. Holdout device worn on the performer’s arm allows him to manipulate cards without resorting to sleight-of-hand. Lazy tong-style device measures 10 ½” when extended. Hallmarked. Very good. An early version of this utility device; later (and more common) incarnations were constructed without the lazy-tongs.
