[Scrapbooks] Two scrapbooks of vintage newspaper clippings and magic trick instructions. The first clothbound volume contains a lifetime accumulation of news features (many illustrated) related to famous magicians of the 20th century, among them Thurston, Raymond, Houdini, Nicola, Dunninger, Hardeen and many lesser lights, all neatly organized. One curious clipping advertises Thurston's Perfect Breather. The second book contains hundreds of printed, handwritten and typed directions for close-up, parlor, card and escape tricks. Neatly kept, with over 1000 individual items in the two volumes. 1920s – 40s. Good condition. Should be seen.
