[Thurston] Chicago S. A.M. Thurston Reception photograph. Chicago, Kaufman & Fagry, 1929. Panoramic photo taken at the hotel Lasalle on April 25th, 1929 at a banquet hosted by the Chicago assembly of the S.A.M. in honor of Howard Thurston. In the crowd are a young Laurie Ireland, Johnny Platt, Jack Gwynne, Joe Berg, Tarbell, Russ Walsh, Dorny, Cyril Yettmah, and Thurston who stands behind Dorny at the head table in an atypical, comic pose. Thurston posters decorate the ballroom. 17 ¼ x 10 ½", framed and glazed. Not examined out of the frame.
