Vernon, Dai. Verner family coat of arms original artwork. This crest of the Verner (Vernon) family includes snakes, bales of hay, armor and ravens in its composition, but likely does not date back to the family's beginnings in Ireland. Executed in pen and ink, pencil and gouache, but apparently unfinished, as many of the adornments surrounding the shield are penciled in. 8 x 7 ½". Worn and starting at fold lines, edges worn and chipped; fair condition.
