Framed 1942 etching by Washington D. C. artist Gustav Trois; measures approximately 12-3/4" x 10-3/4" with frame and has a sight image of approximately 7-1/2" x 6-1/2"; signed and dated 1942 in bottom right corner; titled "The Mt. Vernon Bus Terminal" in bottom left corner.Mr. Trois was born in New York and raised in Washington. He attended the Corcoran School of Art and studied under Richard Lahey, the late principal emeritus of the school. By age 18, he had had about 300 drawings published in The Washington Post's youth section. He illustrated a weekly column called "Know Your Washington," about buildings and monuments of note.
