Houdini, Harry. Sphinx Club Dinner Invitation signed by Houdini. Octavo bi-fold invitation for a dinner of The Sphinx Club of New York. Black ink on gold paper. Accompanied by a golden envelope boldly signed by Houdini. Ca. 1913. Considerable scrapbook remnants and tears on verso of envelope and invitation. In 1915, The Sphinx Club changed its name to The Advertising Club of New York, the banner under which its members still meet today.
