Leon's Miniature Haunted House. Los Angeles, Leon M. Leon (Leon Levy), ca. 1940. This doll's house was modified by Leon M. Levy (The Great Leon) to perform a series of full-light spirit manifestations. Ghost would apparently open and close the doors and windows of the little house, and later cause objects placed inside to float in full view of the audience. A toy gun would fire, a glass of milk would mysteriously empty itself, a small metal bell would rattle and other odd effects would all take place in full view of the audience (and under bright lights). The house folds flat for packing and transport. Lacking the original props and chimneys. Rear of house considerably chipped, stained and damaged from age, overall fair condition. For decades, this house sat on display at above the counters at Magic, Inc. a fixture at the iconic Chicago magic store run by Jay and Frances Marshall. Frances Ireland Marshall's original typed manuscript The Great Leon's Miniature Haunted House, published by Magic, Inc. is included. The manuscript outlines the complete Leon routine and its working, and includes plans for building a house as well as the necessary props for performing the routine.
