Haunted Cabinet and Discs of Quong Hi. Los Angeles, F.G. Thayer, ca. 1928. A exquisitely decorated cabinet that allows the magician to mysteriously transpose the location of a stack of checkers, a glass of rice, and a wooden "Ghost." 23 x 19". Light wear to finish of one foot, but overall good condition. Uncommon.This is Thayer's version of the popular Checker Cabinet trick originated by Okito (Theo. Bamberg).
