Parrot Automaton. American [?], ca. 1950. Life size mechanical macaw parrot automaton, possibly used as a window display; later used by The Hoefordts in their trained bird act. When activated, the bird's head and body move, and it opens and closes its beak. Decorated with dyed feathers and electrically operated. 30" high from base to top of bird's head. Good working condition.
